Future steps outlined for visa liberalization

On February 26, Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan received Vassilis Maragos, the Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia.

Arpine Sargsyan expressed gratitude to the European Union for its active support of the ongoing reforms in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and subordinate services.

Vassilis Maragos, emphasizing the practical cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, noted that the EU is ready to continue and expand its support for the reform process.

The parties discussed the reform process in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and subordinate services, the results achieved, and new steps planned jointly.

The EU Ambassador highly appreciated the joint work carried out with the first visa liberalization assessment mission regarding organization and content. The actions to be taken in anticipation of the second assessment mission were also outlined.

At the end of the meeting, the parties outlined further directions for cooperation and upcoming actions to continue implementing reforms effectively.
