The new mandate of the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia starts today

The EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia has released a statement on its X page:

On the first day of the new mandate of the EU Monitoring Mission, we proudly confirm that we will remain committed to peace and stability in the region and continue patrolling the Armenian side of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The new validity period is 20.02.2025-19.02.2027."

On January 30, the EU Council decided to extend the mandate of the EU Mission in Armenia for another two years until February 19, 2027. The budgetary allocations from February 20, 2025, to February 19, 2027, will amount to more than 44 million euros.
