The NA delegation, headed by the Speaker of the Parliament Alain Simonyan, is on a working visit to Belgium. Within the framework of the visit, members of the RA NA delegation, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan, and member of the committee Hasmik Hakobyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan met with the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Belgium, Head of the Belgium-Armenia Friendship Group Els Van Hoof and members of the committee in a working lunch format.
The meeting discussed issues related to the Armenia-EU bilateral agendas. The delegation members presented to their Belgian counterparts the process of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the "Crossroads of Peace" project initiated by the Armenian government, regional security, and humanitarian issues.
The NA deputies highlighted the need for further support for Armenia's democracy and democratic agenda, which were included for the first time in the Belgian government's Coalition Agreement, and the assistance provided to Armenia by the Belgian Parliament.
The NA deputies met with the Belgian Partners and were invited to visit Armenia.
