Program planning issues within the framework of the visa liberalization dialogue with the EU were discussed

On January 30, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan received a delegation led by Hubert Duhot, Deputy Head of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement of the European Commission.

Armen Ghazaryan highly appreciated the European Union's reliable and continuous cooperation in supporting the Armenian agenda of developing democratic institutions. He emphasized the EU's contribution to the reforms implemented in public safety and security, emphasizing the importance of localizing EU best practices as an integral part of the reform agenda.

The Deputy Minister presented to the guests the strategic planning priorities, structural features, ongoing reforms, current state of material and technical equipment, and challenges in the three services subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Issues related to the preparatory phase of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan with the EU were also presented. The impact of the visa liberalization dialogue process on the services subordinate to the Ministry and strategic development, in general, was also discussed.

Issues related to budgetary and technical assistance were also discussed at the meeting.

The parties emphasized the importance of flexibility during program implementation and expressed their willingness to continue cooperating to ensure the effective implementation of reforms and processes.
