Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia John Gallagher. The Ambassador congratulated the Minister on his appointment and wished him success.
Arpine Sargsyan welcomed the guest and highlighted the close bilateral cooperation, which has broad development prospects and covers several areas. The parties touched upon issues related to the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP-17), which will be held in Armenia in 2026.
During the meeting, issues related to the involvement of women in services, strengthening public security, activating cooperation in the field of migration, and exchanging experience in implementing new standards in the police sector were discussed.
