Pashinyan and Pathaputyan discussed issues related to the development of the science sector

In Davos, within the framework of the World Economic Forum, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, met with the renowned Armenian scientist, molecular biologist, and neuroscientist Artem Patapoutian, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2021.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated Mr. Patapoutian's exceptional contribution and scientific achievements in global science, emphasizing that the development of science and education is one of the strategic priorities of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

The Prime Minister noted that it is important to involve our compatriots' potential in the development of science and added that the Government is continuously increasing funding for the science sector to promote the implementation of innovative ideas and programs.

Artem Patapoutian, in turn, noted that during his visit to Armenia, he visited various technology companies and got acquainted with the potential in the field of science. He expressed his willingness to support the Government of the Republic of Armenia in implementing programs to develop science and innovation.
