RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan participated in the Council of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations Summit. He informed me about it on his Facebook page.
"It was a great honor for me to represent Armenia at the Council Summit of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) as a member of the Council. The alliance supports developing countries in improving immunization rates, increasing access to vaccines, and strengthening their country's capacity to protect populations from manageable infectious diseases.
This week's GAVI Council meeting concluded with several important decisions, including the adoption of the alliance's 2026-2030 strategy. The strategy is designed to help countries improve immunization programs and close vaccine gaps in the most vulnerable countries.
The meeting was also crucial for middle-income countries from the point of view of benefiting from further GAVI assistance," he wrote.
