On November 27, during the "Nuclear Science, Technologies, Applications, and Technical Cooperation Program" ministerial conference in Vienna, the delegation led by RA Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan met with Rafael Mariano Grossi, the General Director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
At the meeting, the current and future projects implemented with the Ministry of Health within the IEA technical cooperation program framework were discussed.
Minister Avanesyan noted with satisfaction the long-term cooperation with the National Oncology Center in the field of oncology and thanked the agency for the support provided to the National Center of Oncology for many years, which allowed several complex services to be made available to cancer patients.
The minister presented the recent investments and works made by the state and the private sector in oncology. General Director Grossi highly appreciated the RA government's attention and healthcare efforts in developing RA capacities in the above-mentioned field. He reaffirmed the IEA's readiness to continue supporting and expanding cooperation.
