Armenia will establish an embassy in Hungary. The decision about this was adopted during the government session.
It is stated in the justification that during the meeting of the Armenian and Hungarian Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Peter Szijjártó, an agreement was reached to restore full diplomatic relations. In addition, Hungary is of great importance to Armenia as an EU member state; there is a development of cooperation with great potential.
"On May 6, 2024, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan paid a return visit to Hungary at the invitation of Minister Szijjártó, during which an agreement was reached on the mutual opening of embassies in the capitals," it is stated in the justifications.
