Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan today received the head of the European Union delegation in Armenia and the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary Vasilis Maragos.
During the meeting, several agenda issues of RA-EU cooperation were discussed.
In particular, the parties positively evaluated the reforms implemented within the Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement (CEPA) framework, which refers to the judicial system, the fight against corruption, and the programs implemented in human rights protection.
The Minister of Justice emphasized the importance of raising the judicial system's reputation among the general public, emphasizing the creation of the foundations of predictable justice. The EU ambassador insisted on the commitment to the EU-Armenia dialogue in this direction.
The interlocutors also referred to the RA-EU visa liberalization process. The parties noted the role and phase continuity of the EU budget support programs.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their willingness to deepen and expand bilateral cooperation.
