The only female Leopard of Armenia was re-recorded in the territory of the Zangezur biosphere complex. Minister of Education Hakob Simidyan said.
Within the framework of the leopard conservation program, monitoring activities jointly carried out by the employees of the "Zangezur" biosphere complex" SNOC and the World Wildlife Fund have recorded a female individual several times, which is encouraging for the future reproduction and increase of the species in Armenia.
The leopard is registered in the Red Book of Animals of the Republic of Armenia and is assessed as a "Critically Endangered" species.
