The verdict of the International Court of Justice on the claim of RA on November 12

The International Court of Justice will publish its verdict in the Armenia vs. Azerbaijan case on November 12, 2024, according to the office of the representative of the Republic of Armenia on International Legal Affairs.

The public hearing will be held at 15:00 (18:00 Yerevan time) at the Peace Palace in The Hague. During this time, the Court's President, Judge Nawaf Salam, will read the Court's verdict.

It should be noted that on September 16, 2021, Armenia initiated proceedings against Azerbaijan regarding alleged violations of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.

On April 21, 2023, Azerbaijan submitted preliminary objections to the Court's jurisdiction,. Pursuant to Article 79, Part 3 of the Rules of Court, the proceedings of the case were suspended pending the publication of the Court's decision on said preliminary objections.

According to the April 25, 2023 decision, Armenia submitted its written observations and position regarding Azerbaijan's preliminary objections within the time limit set by the PresidentCourt's president.

Immediately after the judgment in Armenia v. Azerbaijan is published, the Court will issue its decision on Armenia's preliminary objections.
