Ministry of Health and French Vienna will plan new directions of cooperation

RA Deputy Health Minister Artak Jumayan received the delegation led by the Vice-President of the Auvergne-Rhone-Alps region of France, Thierry Kovacs, the mayor of the Armenian-rich Vienne region. Armenia has been closely cooperating with this French region for over a year, and several projects are being implemented, particularly in Syunik.

The basis of the Armenian-French cooperation is the development of the primary health care (PHC) sector, increasing the preparedness of the health sector in emergencies and crises, support for maternal and child health care, as well as the opportunities to introduce new services in the hospital sector, which will enable residents to receive medical care on the spot.

The parties agreed to take a detailed inventory of the existing priorities in the field to plan new directions of cooperation.
