During the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity held on October 31 in Cali, Colombia, Armenia was chosen as the host country for the 17th Conference of the Parties.
This choice reaffirms the growing confidence of the international community in Armenia as an important actor in global environmental processes. Armenia is now entrusted with the responsible work of coordinating and promoting international efforts to overcome humanity's current environmental challenges.
The 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention (COP17) will be held in Yerevan in 2026.
