"The diversification and acquisition of armaments has no aggressive connotation." Spokesman of the Ministry of Defense

In a conversation with Radar Armenia, the press secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Aram Torosyan, referring to the issue of arms acquisition, said that Armenia acquires modern arms exclusively to expand its defense capabilities, and its diversification and acquisition has no aggressive context.
"Armenia is diversifying its security relations and is on the way to creating a professional army. The ongoing reforms in the armed forces, including the diversification of armaments, do not have any aggressive context. Our problem is protecting the sovereign territory of Armenia, a right enshrined in the UN Charter," he said.
