RA Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan participated in the launch event of the cooperation between Acba Bank and the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). Within the framework of this cooperation, acba Bank and DFC signed an agreement, according to which 50 million dollars will be allocated to the financing and development of micro, small, and medium enterprises in Armenia.
"Access to finance continues to be one of the main challenges facing SMEs, which are the backbone of our economy. In today's fast-changing world, it is important that businesses have the financial resources they need to promote innovation, develop growth, and ensure long-term stability," said Arman Khojoyan.
The deputy minister expressed confidence that cooperation in areas such as food security, agriculture, and infrastructure development will be achieved. He also expressed hope that the signing of this agreement will open the way for new cooperation, especially in the direction of providing credit guarantees, thanks to which it will be possible to address collateral issues that many organizations face.
The event was also attended by the Deputy Director of the US International Development Finance Corporation, Nisha Biswal, the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, Kristina Kvien, USAID/Armenia Office Director John Allelo, and the Head of acba BANK JSC, Hakob Andreasyan.
