The necessary 50,000 signatures have been collected for EU membership

The signature collection and the demand to hold a referendum on EU membership collected the minimum necessary 50,000 signatures. Arman Babajanyan, the chairman of the "For the Republic" party, informed Radar Armenia.

It should be noted that the initiating political forces had to collect 50,000 signatures in 60 days, until November 14, to bring the bill on "Starting the process of Armenia's accession to the European Union" to the parliament.

If the draft reaches the National Assembly and is rejected, it will be put to a referendum in the second stage, but this time, 300,000 citizens must sign it in 60 days.
