The congratulatory message of RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan:
Dear compatriots,
I congratulate all of you on the 2806th anniversary of Erebuni-Yerevan.
Yerevan is the visiting card and symbol of our country, with its thousand-year history and awakening today, and it is no coincidence that the state and the capital are often identified in the perceptions of foreigners and Armenians from all corners of the world.
However, approaching the third millennium of its foundation, our city also requires care, love, and responsibility because feelings expressed in words alone are not enough for the state, the country, and Yerevan.
Yerevan starts from our house, yard, and street, and the aspiration of all of us to have a healthy, comfortable, pleasant, and modern city should start from there.
Yerevan is us, our citizens because buildings, parks, or streets are not enough to be called a city.
Yerevan is the expression of our collective profile and face, and Yerevan's thousand-year jubilee is another occasion to fully rejoice, be proud, and think about having a more beautiful, happier, and prosperous city day by day, year by year.
