Tigran Avinyan visited the traffic management center in Rome

The delegation led by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, who is on an official visit to the capital of the Republic of Italy, visited the traffic management center. Working on a round-the-clock schedule, the structure fully coordinates and monitors the regular operation of the route network.

During the visit to the Center, the Yerevan delegation was presented with the developed solutions for traffic management in Rome and the sector's development policy. As a primary goal, certain solutions are proposed to significantly reduce the number of cars in Rome, which will enable mobility.

Mayor Tigran Avinyan noted that Yerevan has initiated reform programs for the transport system that envisage systemic solutions. Along with the completion of the community assembly station, the process of fully implementing the new ticketing system is coming to an end. The work of separating bus lanes and changing the traffic organization is continuing, and the installation of new bus stops and smart traffic lights is being considered.
