The National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia, operating under the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, has started its 99th concert season.

The 16th Yerevan International Music Festival, held from September 12 to October 30, is full of star guest soloists and conductors.

The National Philharmonic goes on a European tour from September 19 to 23. On September 20, the Philharmonic, under the direction of Eduard Topchyan, will perform the opening concert of Bruckner's 200th anniversary events at the Klagenfurt Musikverein, Austria. The program will feature Bruckner's 9th Symphony and Dvořák's Cello Concerto, performed by renowned German violinist Daniel Müller-Schott.

On September 22, at the Bratislava Music Festival in Slovakia, the National Philharmonic Orchestra will perform a concert dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia. Alexander Harutyunyan's trumpet concert will be conducted by Stanislav Masaryk, a Slovak trumpeter who has won numerous international competitions. Tchaikovsky's symphonic fantasy "Francesca da Rimini" and Sergei Rachmaninov's Symphony No. 2 will be performed under the direction of Eduard Topchyan.

"The fact that the Austrians entrusted our National Philharmonic with the opening concert of such an important event in their country is very honorable for the Armenian orchestra. As we know, Mozart and Bruckner are the greatest national values ​​of Austria, and we are preparing for that concert with great responsibility. Many prestigious orchestras have been invited to the Bratislava festival, and it is an obligation and a great honor to perform alongside them," said Eduard Topchyan, artistic director and chief conductor of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia.
