To promote interest in science and technology among young people, Team Telecom Armenia has become the leading partner of the National Science Week.
Science Week is a series of multifaceted events for different levels of society. It aims to popularize science and technology, explain their critical role and significance in the modern world, make science attractive to young people, and promote the development of critical thinking and knowledge-based discourse. This year, it will occur from October 1 to 6 under the title "Bringing Science Closer to Society."
"Science Week creates a unique platform for connecting science and society, and as one of Armenia's leading technology companies, we are excited to join this initiative," says Hayk Yesayan, CEO of Team Telecom Armenia. "Our participation aims to help identify the indispensable role of science and technology in the modern world. We hope that this event will inspire the younger generation."
Within the framework of the Science Week, the "GitaCon" comics, "Starry Horizon" science fiction stories and "Science Week - through my eyes" drawing contests are also held, the winners of which will be awarded by Team Telecom Armenia with special prizes. It is planned to organize a school competition to hold events during the Science Week.
The project organizer is the "Gituzh" initiative.
"Team Telecom Armenia became the main partner of the Science Week project because they liked and believed in the idea that we should strive to develop strong science arising from the needs of our country and create competitive technologies. We need a society that values science and technology to achieve this goal. We need young people who do not stop learning and dreaming, striving to become competitive scientists and engineers who solve complex problems," says Tigran Shahverdyan, a member of Gituzh.
The central event of Science Week is the Science Festival, which will take place in Yerevan's Liberty Square, including three thematic sections: "Science is Everywhere," "Professional Orientation," and "Science Fiction." Events will also be held in kindergartens, schools, and universities.
