The Armenian team won 1 bronze medal and 1 commendation at the 4th European Informatics Open Olympiad for Girls.
The Olympiad was held in two stages from July 21 to 27 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. 195 students from 55 countries participated, and a maximum of 4 students from each country could participate.
Arpi Prazyan, an 11th-grade A. Shahinyan Physics Math Special School student, was awarded a bronze medal. Christina Hayrapetyan, a 10th-grade student of Quant School, was awarded a certificate of commendation. Nare Khachatryan, an 11th-grade student of A. Shahinyan's particular school for physical mathematics and Hayouhi Mikayelyan, a 10th-grade student of Gavar High School, the Gegharkunik region, also participated in the Olympiad.
The Armenian team was led by Armen Andreasyan (EPH lecturer) and Samvel Andreasyan (EPH student).
Jane Street, IQ Soft, and Zoomerang sponsored the Armenian team, ensuring its participation in the Olympics.
It should be noted that the 3rd International Olympiad for European girls in informatics was held in Sweden, and the RA team won one silver and three bronze medals.
