RA Minister of High-tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, with Deputy Minister Gevorg Meliksetyan, visited "Telecom Armenia" OJS Company (trademark: Team Telecom Armenia) on July 19. The minister was received by the general director and co-founder of Team Telecom Armenia, Hayk Yesayan, accompanied by the minister toured the company, got acquainted with the infrastructure, and visited the Communications Museum.

Hayk Yesayan presented to the minister the achievements of the last years, shared the progress of the company's strategic plan, the construction of the NGN network with a bandwidth of 25 Gb/s, talked about the importance of the decision to become an open joint-stock company, investment plans and the main directions of development. Yesayan emphasized that Armenia is in a favorable position in the field.

The parties discussed the telecommunications sector's current challenges and development prospects. Mkhitar Hayrapetyan assured that the Ministry is ready to support market actors in improving the quality of telecommunication services. In this case, the minister emphasized that private business interests coincide with the state's interest.

During the visit, the details of the existing problems in the field of communication and the possibilities of their solution were discussed. In turn, the minister expressed willingness to deepen the state-private cooperation in that direction.

During the discussion, in which the company representatives participated, the obstacles that arose during the work were also discussed, and it was suggested that the Ministry representatives be involved in the meetings related to the sector to learn more about the problems and possible solutions for them.
