NGOs came up with a package of recommendations for constitutional changes

On July 16, the Transparency International anti-corruption center, with the financial support of the European Union, organized a discussion of stakeholders on the topic "Amendments to the RA Constitution—the imperative of the day." During the discussion, the current situation, evaluations, and proposals of NGOs and international organizations were presented.

Non-governmental organizations developed a package of recommendations for the RA National Assembly to adopt a number of constitutional amendments. These proposals present solutions to urgent constitutional problems that will contribute to mitigating political and social polarization in the country.

They are, in particular, the revision of the "stable majority" principle of the formation of the parliament and the formation of the Parliamentary Ethics Committee of the RA National Assembly, which, according to the Constitution, are within the jurisdiction of the National Assembly and can be addressed as soon as possible through constitutional amendments.

You can familiarize yourself with the recommendations on the TIAC website.
