PACE highly appreciated the process of reforms in the Police sector in Armenia
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted the resolution "On the fulfillment of obligations and commitments undertaken by Armenia" by voting.
The Assembly highly appreciated Armenia's continuous commitment to democratic development.
The resolution emphasized that despite the security challenges and the complex international environment, Armenia continues to pursue its ambitious reform agenda.
The Assembly also highly appreciated the authorities' determination to fight against systemic corruption, as evidenced by the reforms in the Police sector.
The resolution states that the Assembly will be consistent with the cooperation arising from the 2023-2026 plan of action implemented by the Council of Europe in Armenia, within the framework of which justice system reforms are also necessary.
