Armenia and France will expand cooperation

On June 27, Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan received the delegation of the Department of Environmental Control and Analysis of the French Atomic Energy Commissariat. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports this.

Welcoming the guests, Vahe Ghazaryan noted that one of the ministry's most important goals is the formation and establishment of a disaster-resistant state, the consistent reduction of the risk of disasters.

The minister emphasized that relations between Armenia and France in seismic protection were formed through long-term cooperation and strengthened, especially immediately after the devastating earthquake of Spitak in 1988, when French specialists reached out to Armenia.

They thanked the guests for the reception and presented their environmental and earthquake monitoring work. In line with France's commitment to support civil protection, Nicolas Brachet expressed his willingness to continue the work on behalf of the structure. He reaffirmed their full support for maintaining and improving seismic monitoring capacity in Armenia.

Vahe Ghazaryan said that the ministry is the center of attention, and the TV network's regular modernization and equipping it with new equipment are being carried out consistently.

Questions regarding expanding cooperation through the French Embassy in Armenia were also discussed at the meeting. An agreement was reached to continue close cooperation.
