They are ready to cooperate within the framework of the Academic City project

RA MESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan met with Jörg Rocholl, the head of the European School of Management and Technologies Berlin (ESMT Berlin), and Ruben Hayrapetyan, the head of the Matena business school, as part of her working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany. They discussed the possibilities of implementing the EMBA Master's in Business Administration educational program in Armenia.

The delegation includes Sisak Gabrielyan, chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth, and Sports, and Sargis Armenian, chairman of the Higher Education and Science Committee of the National Academy of Sciences.

MESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan emphasized the development and expansion of major international educational programs in Armenia, which will also consider the private sector's needs and demands.

According to the minister, the RA education development strategy until 2030, within the framework of which the "Academic City" project is implemented, provides prerequisites for implementing similar programs in RA higher education institutions.

Jörg Rocholl, head of the European School of Management and Technology Berlin (ESMT Berlin), expressed a willingness to consider cooperation within the Academic City project's framework.

Subsequently, at the meeting with Udo Mikhalik, Secretary General of the "Conference of Ministers of Culture," other joint projects were discussed. In this context, it was noted that the German Schools Abroad (ZFA), Pedagogical Exchange (PAD), and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) programs have been implemented in the Republic of Armenia for more than 20 years, and the German language learning center of the Goethe Institute operates in Yerevan.

The German side has expressed readiness to consider organizing Armenian language training in GDR educational institutions. In this context, Minister Zhanna Andreasyan expressed her willingness to cooperate in teacher training and in providing educational materials.

The German side was also interested in the Armenian experience in technological education, particularly the activities of the TUMO Creative Technologies Center and the ARMAT laboratories.
