Practical cooperation with the World Bank was highlighted

RA Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan received the delegation headed by Asad Alam, Regional Director of Europe and Central Asia of the World Bank's Equitable Growth, Finances and Institutions (EFI) Vice Presidency. Karolin Geginat, head of the Armenian office of the World Bank, and deputy ministers Narek Hovakimyan and Rafael Gevorgyan were also present at the meeting.

The minister welcomed the guests and highlighted the practical cooperation with the World Bank. The parties referred to issues related to increasing trade volumes and diversifying the economy.

"By strengthening our trade infrastructure and reducing barriers, we can improve our competitiveness on global platforms," ​​said Gevorg Papoyan.

Issues related to the development of Armenia's economic opportunities, the involvement of public and private investments in achieving the set targets of inclusive economic growth, the modernization of the educational sector, and contributing to the formation of the labor market were addressed.

Topics related to the employment of forcibly displaced people from Nagorno Karabakh and the development of the tourism sector were also discussed. The delegation was also presented with the "Crossroads of Peace" project and the opportunities planned for the country's progress through its implementation.
