The spread of the Russian First Channel in Armenia has been stopped. Minister of High-tech Industry of RA Mkhitar Hayrapetyan answered the question of "Armenpress" about clarifying the reasons and stated:
"According to the current contract between Armenia Television and Radio Broadcasting Network" CJSC and 1st Channel World Network" JSC, the "1st Channel World Network" company did not fulfill its contractual obligations, accumulating 2.5 months of debt.
Broadcasting of the Russian channel (ORT-ed.) in the public cinema has been temporarily suspended until the full repayment of the debt."
