Ambassador Ararat Mirzoyan handed over the letter to the UN Executive Secretary
On May 14, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Sahak Sargsyan, handed over the letter of the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs on the accreditation of the permanent representative of the Republic of Armenia to the UNECE to the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
The organization's executive secretary congratulated the RA ambassador and wished him success in his new mission. Ambassador Sargsyan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to revitalizing relations with African countries and expanding its involvement in the region.
The parties discussed the current cooperation and its prospects. They pointed out the need to coordinate efforts towards sustainable development in the region in support of the continent to implement the UN 2030 and Africa 2063 development agendas. The directions of further cooperation were outlined, based in particular on the provisions of the memoranda signed between the Armenian Association of Advanced Technology Enterprises and the Enterprise Incubator Fund.
