On April 19, Ambassador Lilit Makunts met the participants of Rumsfeld's educational program. During the discussion with Ambassador Makunts, the challenges in the South Caucasus, the security situation of Armenia, the peace agenda, and the bilateral relations between Armenia and the USA were touched upon.
The 6-week educational program, attended by representatives of Central Asia, South Caucasus regions and other countries, consists of high-level meetings with policymakers, journalists, scientists, military personnel, business leaders, NGOs and regional experts through which the fellows get to know are public and private sector job prospects in the United States. Within the framework of the program, the participants have the opportunity to visit embassies and learn about the bilateral relations of the participating countries with the United States.
