The RA Ministry of Defense announced the names of the service members killed in the accident: Areg Armeni Kerobyan, Slavik Vardani Vardanyan, Davit Hambardzumi Hakobyan, and Joseph Melkoni Azolyan.
The Ministry of Defense expresses condolences and support to the service members' families, relatives, and comrades.
An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident. The RA Investigative Committee has informed us about the initiated criminal proceedings; therefore, we urge our media partners not to publish incorrect and unspecified information about the circumstances of the case," the message says.
Earlier today, the RA Ministry of Defense also mentioned about 20 service members who were injured as a result of the accident.
