On April 10, the delegation led by the President of the Bouches-du-Rhône Department and the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, Martine Vassal, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Armenia, Olivier Decotigny.
Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Edita Gzoyan welcomed the guests and escorted them to the Armenian Genocide Memorial.
Martine Vassal laid a wreath at the monument commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide, and then the members of the delegation placed flowers near the eternal fire. They honored the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide with a minute of silence.
At the end of the visit, the guests walked around the Memory Park, where Martin Vassal watered some of the fir trees planted by the French delegations in different years.
