Within the framework of the cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the United Kingdom in the defense field, discussions on the fight against corruption took place in London on March 28-29. The Armenian delegation was headed by Hamlet Batikyan, Secretary General of the RA Ministry of Defense.
During the event, a meeting was held with representatives of the UK Ministry of Defense led by Paul Wyatt, Director General of Security Policy of the UK Ministry of Defense, and Guy Lester, Director of Defense Assurance. Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, also participated in the meeting.
Issues related to RA-UK cooperation in the fight against corruption were discussed. Secretary General of the RA Ministry of Defense Hamlet Batikyan presented the current programs of the RA Ministry of Defense in the fight against corruption. The British side presented the existing experience and methodology in that field and expressed its willingness to assist the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
During the discussions, a number of agreements were reached regarding implementing joint projects and providing expert and methodical support.
