The right to hold the 2027 World Weightlifting Championship has been entrusted to Armenia

The International Weightlifting Federation has entrusted Armenia with the right to hold the 2027 World Championship.
MESCS reports that this is the first world championship for an Olympic sport that will be held in Armenia.
To remind you, at the European Weightlifting Championship in Yerevan in 2023, Armenian weightlifters won 36 medals in snatch, push, and doubles, 12 of which were gold, 11 silver, and 13 bronze.
The heads of the European Federation awarded the Armenian side with souvenirs for the best organization of the European Weightlifting Championship.
