Khachaturyan and Maragos referred to the role of the EU civilian observation mission

The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, received Vassilis Maragos, the Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia.

The President welcomed the guest and emphasized that EU-Armenia relations are steadily and dynamically developing.

Vassilis Maragos expressed his gratitude for the reception and noted that he invests all his efforts in strengthening and expanding the EU-Armenia partnership.

During the meeting, agenda items regarding the progress of various sectoral programs and initiatives jointly implemented with the European Union were discussed. Reference was made to implementing the existing interaction potential in energy, education, economics, and other fields.

The head of the EU delegation presented the President of the Republic with details about the upcoming program of events dedicated to Europe Day.

In recent years, the reforms carried out in the direction of strengthening democratic institutions in Armenia with the support of the European Union have been emphasized by both sides.

During the conversation, the parties referred to the possibilities and directions of the complex solution of the humanitarian and social problems of the forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh.

At the meeting, ideas were exchanged on the role of the European Union's civilian observation mission, which significantly reduces border tensions.
