The head of the General Directorate of Defense, Edward Asryan, stated in a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly that the Armed Forces fulfill the tasks set before them and that they are not surrendering land.
"Who is destroying the homeland? Who is handing over the land? We are not land givers," he said in response to the journalist's question.
When asked if it is expected that the country's prime minister will say that if we don't give the lands, there will be a war, Asryan answered, "The Armed Forces fulfills the tasks set before it. The war, do you understand, can be in 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 1 year, or 5 years."
