On March 21, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan met with Ana Olivera, President of the House of Representatives of Uruguay, in Montevideo.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the readiness of the executive and legislative bodies of the two countries to expand the agenda of bilateral relations, emphasizing the deep connection between the two societies formed for decades.
Ararat Mirzoyan also highlighted parliamentary diplomacy's role, including the active cooperation of friendly groups.
The head of the RA foreign political department highly appreciated the solidarity of the two countries and their approach to the protection of universal values, which, unfortunately, are continuously violated in our region.
Minister Mirzoyan presented to Ana Olivera the developments taking place in the South Caucasus, referring to the course of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. RA Foreign Minister reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to the peace agenda, presenting Armenia's positions and vision to the interlocutor in opening a new stage of stability and development in the South Caucasus. Ararat Mirzoyan added that to realize the existing opportunity in that direction, the adequate commitment of other actors is also necessary.
