Abundant snowfall, gusts in isolated areas, and low horizontal visibility are expected

A severe cyclone from the south will bring heavy snowfall to several regions of Armenia. The affected areas include Shirak, Lori, Tavush foothills, Aragatsotni, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor mountains, Gegharkunik, and Syunik mountain and foothill zones. The snowfall will start in the afternoon of March 19 and continue through the night of March 19-20. In addition, fog and low visibility are expected.

In the capital city of Yerevan, rain is forecasted intermittently from March 19 to March 24. Fog will also occur on the afternoon of March 19 and the night of March 20. The rainfall will be heavy on the afternoon of March 19 and the night of March 20.

Other regions of Armenia will also experience rainfall and fog from March 19 to March 24. On March 19, the mountain and sub-mountain zones will see rainfall at night, while on March 20-24, the mountain zones will have snow at night. Some places may experience intense rain on the afternoon of March 19 and the night of March 20.

The wind is expected to be southerly at a speed of 2-5 m/s, except on March 21-22, when it may intensify to 15-18 m/s in some places.

The temperature will drop by 6-8 degrees Celsius on the afternoon of March 19 but rise by 5-7 degrees on March 20-21.
