Bilateral meetings were held with representatives of various US government departments to hold a regular session of the Working Group on Trade and Investments (TIFA) between the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America in Washington, within the framework of the RA delegation's visit to Washington (March 7-8).
Rafael Gevorgyan, the Deputy Minister of Economy of RA, headed the delegation.
Meetings were held with representatives of the US Department of State, the US Agency for International Development, the US Departments of Agriculture, Finance, and Trade, the Trade Law Development Program, the Organization of American States, and the US International Development Finance Corporation.
During the meetings, the issues included in the agenda of the Working Group on Trade and Investments and the necessary steps towards deepening economic cooperation between Armenia and the USA were discussed in detail.
As a result of each meeting, a clear action plan was formed, which will contribute to the deepening of partnership relations between Armenia and the USA in various economic sectors of mutual interest.
The parties have agreed to continue the work in all the indicated directions.
