The second meeting of the EU-Armenia investment coordination platform took place

The second meeting of the EU-Armenia investment coordination platform was held in the government today, co-chaired by RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Director of Eastern Neighborhood and Institutional Strengthening of the European Commission's General Directorate for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Adrienn Kiraly.

The platform brings together the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the European Union (EU), and international financial institutions to promote investment in Armenia, promoting sustainable development and economic growth in the context of the EU Economic and Investment Plan and its benchmarks for Armenia.

Significant infrastructure investments aimed at improving Armenia's communication channels, energy diversification, and housing programs for refugees were discussed at the meeting. The participants summarized the progress of various infrastructure projects, such as the Caucasian power grid and the Sisian-Qajaran road section, linking them to the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative.

Together, the parties have identified technical and financial barriers that need to be addressed to implement these programs promptly and efficiently. Follow-up actions and a concrete timeline for the next steps have also been agreed upon among the stakeholders to ensure rapid implementation of EIP investments.

The meeting was concluded with a commitment to continue cooperation in the platform's context and explore further investment opportunities in Armenia.
