Khachatur Sukiasyan, deputy of the KP faction of the National Assembly, asked the Deputy Minister of Economy, Narek Teryan, and said there are perlite mines in Armenia. Still, there are no investments in the sector. Instead, heat-insulating materials, which are expensive, are imported.
"You invest once in perlite production; you don't import it for tens of years; it brings income," suggested Sukiasyan. According to the businessman, thermal insulation is imported to Armenia, but there is perlite here, which is used in producing thermal insulation. "Why don't we work in that direction? Let's see who has what opportunities."
Narek Teryan responded that they could develop a specific list and present how to work on that project.
