The official opening ceremony of the RA office was held in Luxembourg with the participation of RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Luxembourg Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia raised the Armenian flag, after which the national anthems of Armenia and Luxembourg were played.
At the official opening ceremony of the RA diplomatic office in Luxembourg, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said:
"I am happy to return to Luxembourg in 2022, exactly two years after my first visit. During these years, we have already established an active political dialogue and close cooperation, but today's event marks a new chapter in the relations between our two friendly countries.
Establishing a resident diplomatic representation of Armenia in Luxembourg is evidence of Armenia's commitment to strengthening relations and effectively promoting our multi-layered cooperation. The decision of the Armenian government regarding the resident diplomatic mission also shows respect for the values we share and the vital support provided by Luxembourg in recent years.
It is important to emphasize that Armenia and Luxembourg are united by historical parallels characterized by characteristic resistance and determination. Luxembourg has successfully overcome adversity, showing that even in conflict, a small nation can pave its way to peace and prosperity.
In these challenging times marked by unprecedented global uncertainties, Armenia's commitment to establishing peace and stability in our region should be considered not only as a prerequisite for the prosperity of our citizens but also as part of the collective vision of the European family to promote such common values as democracy, the rule of law and the protection of human rights. Genuine cooperation with like-minded partners on this critical path is invaluable.
So, let's work together towards the realization of common goals. We can do very little alone, but we can do so much more together. Once again, I congratulate everyone on this special occasion."
