Armenian manuscripts will be studied in Iran's largest manuscript center.

The Matenadaran delegation visited the Ayatollah Marashi Najaf library in Ghom, Iran. Director Mahmoud Marashi Najafi, the son of the center's founder, welcomed the delegation.

The Ayatollah Marashi Najafi Library is the largest center of Islamic manuscripts in Iran and the third largest in the Islamic world. The collection includes about 85,000 manuscripts in different languages containing religious and scientific texts.

A tour of the center's manuscript storage, digitization, and restoration departments was organized. The importance and willingness of cooperation were emphasized, starting with studying Armenian manuscripts kept in the center. They report from Matenadaran, named after Mesrop Mashtots.
