On December 18, Armenian-Greek and Armenian-Cypriot bilateral and Armenia-Greece-Cyprus trilateral defense consultations took place in the RA Ministry of Defense administrative complex.
On the Greek side, the delegations led by Brigadier General Vasileos Iamis, head of the international relations department of the Greek National Defense General Staff, and on the Cypriot side, the delegations led by the head of the international cooperation department of the Cyprus National Guard General Staff, colonel Alkiviadis Alkiviadis, took part in the consultations.
During the consultations, the results of RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan's official visits to the Republic of Cyprus and the Republic of Greece, the course of bilateral and trilateral cooperation, and regional and international security issues were discussed.
Levon Ayvazyan, head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department of the RA Ministry of Defense, presented the process of the RA Armed Forces reforms to his colleagues.
As a result of the consultations, the parties signed the Armenia-Greece, Armenia-Cyprus, and Armenia-Greece-Cyprus military cooperation programs for 2024, which include dozens of measures in areas of mutual interest.
