Armenia's trade turnover with Canada increased 2.4 times

On December 13, Minister Vahan Kerobyan received Canada's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Armenia, Andrew Turner. The Chairman of the Tourism Committee, Sisian Boghosian, was also present at the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Vahan Kerobyan briefly presented the priorities of Armenia's economy and the tools of state assistance used to modernize the sector.

In his speech, the minister also referred to the favorable business and investment environment in Armenia and the steps taken toward economic diversification.

Then, the prospects of bilateral cooperation were discussed in different economic directions, including agriculture and tourism.

According to the data of the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the trade turnover of Armenia with Canada, according to the characteristics of the country of origin, amounted to 77.8 million USD in January–October 2023, increasing by 2.4 times compared to the same period of the previous year.
