Armenia is committed to providing forces to international peacekeeping missions

On December 5-6, the delegation headed by Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan participated in the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial in Accra (Ghana), organized by the UN every two years to discuss international peacekeeping issues. 

Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan spoke during the meeting, confirming Armenia's commitment to continue training and providing forces for international peacekeeping missions.

Within the framework of the event, Arman Sargsyan had a working meeting with US Secretary of State Rachel Schiller, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Programs and Operations, and Jennifer Pulliam, Director of the "Global Peacekeeping Operations Initiative" program. Issues related to bilateral cooperation were discussed.

During a short meeting with Jean-Pierre Lacroix, the UN Deputy Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Affairs, Arman Sargsyan, presented the programs implemented in Armenia to prepare international peacekeeping forces.
