The Investigative Committee, in response to Radar Armenia's inquiry, detailed how many people were considered missing during the first and 2020 Karabakh wars and military escalations.

As a result of the first Karabakh war, the location of 777 people is unknown.

As a result of the 44-day war of 2020, the whereabouts of 195 people, including 20 civilians and 175 service members, are unknown.

As a result of the aggression carried out by the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan on September 13–14, 2022, the location of 2 service members is unknown.

The whereabouts of 12 civilians and around 30 service members are unknown as a result of the military operations carried out by the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19–20, 2023. The process of adjusting the data mentioned in the last point continues.
The Investigative Committee also reported that 37 people are being held in Azerbaijan. "As of September 19, 2023, the number of those persons was 37. As we have already published, after September 19, there are data on the capture of 16 people—6 servicemembers and 10 civilians—in the criminal proceedings; that is, there are data on the fact that these people are under the control of Azerbaijan," the committee said.
