First Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan participates in the 73rd session of the European Regional Committee in Astana.
Before proceeding to the actual speech, in response to the accusations made by the representative of Azerbaijan, Lena Nanushyan countered by presenting the events that took place in Nagorno-Karabakh in September. Over 100 thousand Armenians were subjected to ethnic cleansing, preceded by the military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan and the humanitarian blockade lasting about ten months.
Lena Nanushyan reminded us of the cases of civilians, especially children, who were seriously injured due to the Azerbaijani military aggression, after which the representative of Azerbaijan remained silent.
"Health care and rights should be inseparable, and the international community should do everything to prevent such atrocities from happening again, and the principle of health for all to be available to everyone," Lena Nanushyan concluded her speech.
