France is ready to expand cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On October 13, Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia Vahe Ghazaryan received Olivier Decotiny, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia. Vahe Ghazaryan welcomed and congratulated the ambassador on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Armenia.

The minister noted that as a result of the ethnic cleansing carried out by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh, tens of thousands of people were deprived of the right to live safely, freely, and decently in their homeland and emigrated to the Republic of Armenia under the threat of physical security.
Vahe Ghazaryan noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is also directly involved in ensuring the rights of our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. Appreciating the unique, friendly relations between Armenia and France, the minister emphasized the willingness to strengthen and develop them in law enforcement.

He thanked Olivier Decotiny for the warm reception and noted the French side's willingness to expand cooperation.

He made a particular reference to the "HOPE-2023" large-scale command and staff exercise held in Armenia within the framework of the EU a few days ago and emphasized the active participation of France.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary also spoke about activating cooperation in services subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
